Wow, what a week!  It's Sunday night and I'm pooped.  Friday's Tiger game was awesome....42,000 plus people....God Bless America came off well.  I was not nervous at all, and I took it all in.  What a thrill to be a part of something like this.  Most people (like me)that have been a part of this ball club for so long are in a state of euphoria!  Thanks, Pat B. for leaving me that great voicemail.  It means alot coming from you, my friend.

Thursday night's concert at St. Charles went well.  The athletic club raised over $1,000 for the building fund, and we sold some cd's.  It was a good time for all.

On Wednesday, Irene totalled thier car....spun out on a wet backroad on the way to work and went into the ditch.   Airbags deployed.  She was shook up.  Thank God, she is okay...just a sore neck.  That is the important thing....but the car...well, we are now back to square one.  For now, the girls will have to commute back and forth to school in the van...bummer for them.

Last night, me and the kids went to a corn maze and fall party.  On the way to the bonfire, we sat in the van and listened to the last few minutes of the Tiger game...WOW!   What a win!  I rarely ever get excited about sports, but this really got to me.  It's a special victory that we have waited for for a long time.

I'd say it was a pretty good week.

My brother Ken and I were in attendance at that game. Although we both have seen you perform at Tiger Stadium/Comerica Park many times over the years, we went crazy when we saw you were performing "God Bless America" at the one playoff game for which we had tickets. Every time we go to a Tigers game we hope that you will be performing and we could not believe it when you walked out on the field during the 7th inning stretch. You did your usual outstanding job. Near the end of the song, Ken leaned over and said watch her wink at the end. I didn't know you did that. I see from your site that is for your kids. I told Ken at the time I thought it was for your brother Mike. Tell him Ken and I said "Hi" next time that you talk to him. I hope that you and your family have a great new year. Matt Z.
